BLOG BURST:
" Ready, Set …. Go! Congratulate yourself, you made it through Christmas. However, if that’s how you feel, you probably missed the whole point. Hopefully you were at home, or with those you care for or connected with those that care for you.

It always seems like the buildup is so great and the time is but a flash. Just maybe and I hope it was for you, the memories and the positives far outweigh any negative. The blitz is still on as exchanges, fighting traffic, people and of course those after Christmas sales beckon one like a nail to a magnet.

Don’t forget it’s the next door that may or may not make a huge difference in your outcome. Please, please, please just stop for some precious and rewarding moments of reflection and decision making. A lot of consequences of life happen when we are so caught up in crammed circumstances, situations, pressures, and momentary feel good, happy, happy times. These however may be masking devastating results based on your choices. Ask yourself, what are the long term results of my actions? Will this decision be true, will it be right? What will the outside factors offer and how could they jeopardize my future? Who could I talk with that would provide me with the proper insight. Where have they come from and why would I want information so important to me from them? Can I walk away? As much as it is going to affect me now, will I be better off not dealing with the hand writing on the wall?

I’m thankful paintings don’t mislead you or throw you away. I am thankful they get better with time and add positives to your life and health as opposed to tearing you down and you feel like you’ve got the plague. Even with paintings, time and the right decision will offer you long term rewards.

Don’t let the Blur, the Blitz and the Business overwhelm you, spend some quality time, get some quality advice, and pray for the help you need to make the right choices."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Two weeks this time of year are furious and fast
There is much to do and decisions that can’t pass
Choices to be made that will have lasting affects
Hard decisions and often some you should reject
So spend the time and get the right advice and wait
Sometimes not deciding at all is never too late.”

“Let me take the time to thank you for this year, for your support, for your friendship, and for your patronage. Have a Happy New Year!”

BLOG BURST:
" Last Sunday morning I had the unique privilege to hear one of the very best Christmas messages I’ve heard. The title “Why God Became Man” is a theme that I am very familiar with and clearly understand, however the opening was quite different being confronted with the fact that this special date was not about some jolly guy with a white beard and red suit, little elves in green suits, or some dancing and prancing reindeers. It’s about God’s miraculous act of grace to bring about reconciliation between Himself and His creations, the human race.

As our meaningless treadmill lives spin the toil of self absorption and self satisfaction, once in human history the Creator of the universe came into our world to again have a relationship with you and me.

What words can do this justice? What commentary can make one see the real truth and the real scope of what it cost Him to offer you life anew and everlasting? What painting can truly depict the events that happened over some 33 years that provides us a means to eternity with Almighty God?

Here’s the message should you choose to listen to it. Dr. John-Paul Lotz, Pastor of Christ Chapel, Centerville, Massachusetts, December 13, 2009 “Why God Became Man”.
"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Thank you, for the ability, talent and all the blessings.
Times I’ve wandered, You’ve forgiven me for messing
You’ve allowed me to see and look beyond normal view
Provided me the way to walk and taken me through
May Your light shine that men and women will come to see
Your merciful love and the relationship You want to be!”

“Have a great “Christmas Week”!”

Dec.13th Sometimes Artists Say Pointed Things!

BLOG BURST:
"Happy Holidays”! I’m sorry, no I’m not. “Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah”! Many artists are looked at as pushing the envelope, being agents for rebellion and change. Most don’t like “you can’t do that”, that’s not possible”, and “no”. Sometimes artists stand up and say things that are against the popular politically correct cultural language of the day.

In that day when morals, marriage, God and country are all on the chopping block for the fever over social tolerance, it is time to say, “Christmas is Christmas”. It has been and believe me, should be an accepted norm without question in a country that was founded on Judeo Christian ethics.

This day, “Christmas” is as you probably know the celebration of running to the local store for anything that would satisfy the lovely little ones or create good will toward one in which we have a relationship. I’m sorry but this is not the reason for the day. Over 2,000 years ago in a small part of the world, in a predetermined predicted village was born the Son of God. His reason was to come to earth live a sinless life and offer Himself as a living sacrifice for a broken relationship that demanded reconciliation.

You may choose to believe this or not, but what you should understand is that is what our forefathers our ancestors and our government established as a holiday, “Christmas”.

Should you choose to participate with the correct understanding or not paintings are an exceptional choice for the giving of gifts. Better still is the finding of an artist that you appreciate and the introduction with a gift certificate or some arrangement that the receiver of your gift would for themselves be given the opportunity to select a painting of their choosing. People need to connect with paintings more than they need wall decorators.

Oh, “Merry Christmas”!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Not sure of the day created that we celebrate in a special way?
Let me tell you it is Christmas not just some holiday!
Yes, we give gifts and give thanks and honor family and friends.
But Christmas is important because He gave us life without end.
Give beautiful paintings that are real and not some kind of ploy,
Because paintings breathe life each day and give such joy!”

“The countdown for Christmas has begun and Hanukkah is here. May you and yours have a wonderful experience as you celebrate the truth.”

BLOG BURST:
"More lights, more competition with the neighbor, more for the children, more debt, more parties, more needs and more about me, It’s what the season is about. NOT!

Time was that a family and this particular time of year meant something far beyond some superficial gift, over indulgent gathering and checking the feelings meter hourly. Time was that families, not broken homes, gathered as one and had a level of appreciation for each other beyond our now self absorbed society. Time was that there was communication and love rather than the sheep like following of the “what’s popular in relationships”.

We’re missing the mark, following the god of this world and making decisions based on self satisfaction. We’ve stopped looking, stopped understanding, and stopped connecting. We’ve forgotten or just think we don’t have the time to let our eyes connect with our souls. We’ve substituted the right relationships and ordered function of soul and spirit and we’ve replaced it all with the throne that’s set up for only us.

Come back and look clearly. Come back and listen intently. Come back and get your heart right. Come back to life. Enjoy the season as never before. Re-establish those connections broken and those relationships thrown away. Find the connection of your eyes to your soul."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Time was yesterday and yesterday there was time.
Forgotten dreams and aspirations, now glimpses in the mind,
Once joined for together in the struggle of human space,
Now all substitutions, other stuff taking that sacred place.
The paintings remind me of needs and wants and desires.
And my soul stirs uneasy as I gaze into its daunting fire.”

“If you find yourself in this season wandering the memories and choices you’ve made seek out great paintings that will positively help you, connect and engage you and become part of your every day experience. Have a great week!”

BLOG BURST:
" Black Friday and just a few days to gather all we can to put me-ism over the top on our most fashionable day. You know that day, that famous Holiday, where they now want “Christ” out and “Me” in. It’s now going to be called, “the 25th day of December, Memas”. Well, aside from all that and the furor one can feel when a point is “oh, so contrary” to today’s in culture or the polls, some of the season is wonderful and it is historical, traditional and heartfelt when the exchanging of gifts takes place for the right reason. Especially, when it’s not like “well, you owe it to me.

All that put forth, consider a gift that will actually last, a gift that will mean something far beyond January sales exchange days. Consider first who the object of this affection is and secondly what is it that can bring us closer, feed that person continually and grow on them each day becoming better with time. This may take you some time to investigate and search out those things that that person loves, memories that mean something as well as your connection with that individual. Look carefully at what adorns their living and working environment, have intimate conversation and ask poignant questions. Find that art painting that will make a connection with them and will in turn link to you. That’s a true gift worth giving.

If you can’t find that exact art painting, find an artist, one living and breathing. Make sure they connect with them and then get them a gift certificate or better yet take them on an after “Christmas” shopping trip to the artist’s internet gallery. Remember; start early only so many days left!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Why don’t I make this year very special as I might?
Why don’t I search out something that you would like?
Why a don’t I talk and get to know you even better,
I know one thing I will never get you another sweater!
But a painting, a beautiful painting in which you connect,
Will add to your life daily as well as gain me respect.”

“I hope you consider that special someone and a special gift which lasts like no other. Have a great week and remember the reason for the season.”

"It’s amazing but in our warp-speed, self-absorbed society, we actually have a day where we are supposed to be with people we care for, spend some time with some of them and have a meal which isn’t fast food. Wow!! We’ve surely come a long way.

So many are into me-ism, just check out the social media activities, that vanity brings them to the place that others are supposed to be thankful for them. But the wisdom of others prior to this culture set up a time to come together, reflect and be thankful.

Thanksgiving of course reminds me of paintings. Some will say now there’s a leap for him, everything reminds him of paintings. No, really. Both have the ability to make us stop and reflect, ponder and mediate on memories and occurrences that have crossed our paths or run over us like trucks. They may not all be good but they are a part of our own personal fabric.

As you get the opportunity and I say opportunity because I am so aware of the choices we make, take some time and be thankful to God for all He has given you, all He has done for you, and all He has allowed you to experience. Gaze into a beautiful painting and see if you can see His message of hope. If you can’t, ask Him to show it to you."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“I started out on this journey without map or GPS
Not knowing anything, but seeing how I’ve been blessed.
Kindness beyond measure, shared and given my way,
Reflecting on the many who have picked me up each day.
Thank you God for all You have done, no matter what’s to come.
As I gaze into a beautiful painting, I reflect upon Your Son.”

“I hope for you that no matter where you are, what choices you have made, you will have a great “Thanksgiving”!”

"Time to make the Donuts!”;”Where’s the beef?”;”I’m lovin it!”;”Have It Your Way.”; and our latest slogan is “Have I got a stimulus package for you”. Turn on the Television and it’s 10 minutes of programming and 50 minutes of commercials. Cable TV makes you pay outrageous fees and collects Ad revenue as their profits soar shamefully. Oil companies are still laughing at you. Watch a sporting event and it’s a commercial between hit or tackle. Excuse me? Would you mind waiting, I’m trying to get my advertisement in. Texting, tweets and searches along with IM’s, emails and internet hook ups all going crazy as the financial mess caused by the ’98 pretty boys continues and will come round the mountain again and again until a Congress who votes themselves celebrity money and pensions wakes up. How long do you think that will be? Maybe we should pay them in debentures. Oh, who needs a Christmas tree? It is now going to be a Holiday tree! We are being told what to do by self-serving people who don’t have a clue.

With all that plucking, one needs to stop and really ponder! What time is it? Where am I? How did I get this fortunate? Why do I live at this exact time and in this exact country? No matter how bad you think it is, think on someone who has it worse. There are plenty of those. While you’re contemplating that think on the memories, the positive, uplifting memories of the good things and the good people who have helped you and made your life a little better. Paintings take you there. They offer messages and reminders of times, places, and experiences gained and situations loved. They make you want the good. They center your moods and judgments; and they cause you to be more positive, more forgiving, more focused and more giving.

It’s time to find a painting that rescues your thought and stimulates your mind, It’s time for you to look a little deeper, think a little more, come to grips with your choices and move toward what you know is right. Tell the world to go away and sit yourself down with a priceless friend, a heart stopping, emotional capturing painting that speaks volumes of positive messages to your soul."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Here I am in the exact place I find myself today.
Not where I was with those who traveled my way.
Way too much information, talk and all that stuff,
Just keeps piling on and on, getting people in a huff.
There it is that beauty, that stunning creative expression.
As I gaze upon its splendor, I lose all of my depression.”

“It’s a great season to ponder, a great time to reflect, think and be thankful. Find paintings that captivate you. Spend some time with it; you’ll be surprised at your outcome. Have a great week!”

" Jaba, jaba, chat, chat, email this, IM that, what’s my purpose? What do I pursue? Where’s this all going? What gives me peace? Am I better off without you? What’s influencing me? Overwhelmed by information? Think there is something physical or mentally wrong? Made mistakes? Overcome by guilt or hurt? Physically and mentally damaged?

Talk about depressing, but unfortunately it’s the world we live in driven by the lies that we must have it all, it’s all about us, there’s a better relationship for me, my needs are all that matters, and more in our self-absorbed society.

Right in the midst of that twister of emotion is the memory we have. It’s not today because we have no memory yet of today, but we have memory of yesterdays. Like the coach who gets doused with the bucket full of Gatorade, positive, uplifting memories can change our focus, rescue our thoughts and bring us to a new level of optimistic encouraging empowerment. One of the single most powerful memory stimulators is great paintings. Paintings that buckle your knees and stop your heart are Just as snowflakes different and individually appealing.

If you understand what I am saying and you look at one every day you are a person most fortunate! If you don’t understand and don’t have at least one, then find one, find several. Life will have a much better outlook, every day!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
" Wading through the slop of pigs is the daily grind I feel.
I can’t seem to find myself, there is nothing really real.
Wait! Wait! What’ is that I’m looking at? What is it I see?
Are my eyes telling my heart truth or playing tricks on me?
Wow! What a vision. What a scene. It’s like having a meal.
A painting speaking directly to me, it’s what I want to feel.”

" In Our “What’s Next? - What Have You Done for ME Lately? - Have I Told You About ME?” Society, don’t you want to SCREAM? If you’re not being pulled in one direction, then you’re almost falling from being dragged in another. We’re drowning in falsities, half truths and I need it now. Information is no longer at your doorstep but in your ear, before your eyes, in your hands, or coming at you attaching itself like Crazy Glue. The Paperless Society just killed more trees and the new Drivers Ed Programs are coming with text as you drive course 101.

Every notice how beautiful this time of year is? For some of us who live in the northern states of our beautiful free country, it is color like you never have seen it. Every notice how capturing this magnificent vision set right before us stops us and makes us realize there are seasons, there is birth and death, dying and renewing, success and failure, love and lost love, and a whole lot more. Many wonderfully talented artists spend hours developing their craft to bring you these transcendent messages that speak volumes to your soul.

If you’ve missed this annual color palette created by God and even if you haven’t take a moment, shut out the screaming, pulling, empty world, and find one of these magnificent paintings of hope that will color your life everyday!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
"Stop, smell, taste, look and see what is before you today.
Closely stare at the beauty all the colors display.
Let yourself go deep with your thought taking you there,
Far beyond any worries, concerns or your personal cares.
Rest in the messages spoken no matter what you do.
The captive beauty of the paintings speaks clearly to you!”

"What is it that we so desire? What is it that we have passion for? Where do we derive our pleasure and what is it that keeps us grounded. Television, the media, the spin, the greed, the get rich quick scheme of the day and the constant bombardment of half truths, misinformation, downright lies, it all sounds like a political campaign. The scheduled, the expectations, the disappointments, the failures, the what could have been, the might have been, the ifs, the woulda , shoulda and coulda. What’s a person to do?

Where’s a person to go? A weekend trip, a vacation, some alone time, they are all so necessary. Paintings offer a unique place in our hearts, often passing from eyes to hearts and then to our brains. Our own personal firewalls of security and spirit of criticism don’t have time to push away or infect our thinking and heartfelt emotions when a painting penetrates our soul. It stops us, makes us engage and gives us an encounter like no other.

Unfortunately there are too, too many who pass by so fast in the rush and spin of life that they never see.

Painters everywhere are pouring themselves into the letting out of creativity, expression, talent and technique in the final form of paint on canvas. They need your help. Engage with them, befriend them, honor them and open your eyes to your heart. Hear the messages in your brain. Tantalize your spirit in the color and expression of the work of their hands. You won’t be disappointed."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
"Exhausted from work and the superficial business of each day.
Thankful to have a job, so many truly struggling in every way.
Can’t afford some distant place I coveted to travel to see,
So many places of rest and new adventures surely await me.
But there it is the old friend that stares new each and every day.
My beautiful painting giving wonderful feelings in so many ways.”

" “It’s not fair! I was confronted by that statement several times this week and tried to look behind the statement and see what was motivating it. If we look closely enough when these kinds of outbursts happen we can understand a lot about what’s going on either with the person or their circumstances. We after all are making judgments from the seat we’re sitting in, and too often from our own myopic self serving point of view.

Statements and outbursts during that time seem to arrest us and should stop us in our tracks. Quite frankly, we’ve all got stuff. It’s one of the major problems in our world. We’ve got stuff to do and stuff to go and stuff to get and stuff to be and stuff for someone else’s stuff.

Just maybe it’s time to change seats and stop and look and listen and ponder and evaluate. See how far we’ve progressed away from core values, foundational beliefs, the vows we took and a whole bunch more. Maybe it’s time to sit and look into the heart-stopping beauty of an amazing painting that hits us between the eyes and brings us to our knees. It just may change our perspective Believe me, it is time!”"

I used to think I had some idea what it was to have some fun.
Now I’ve got work and family and friends and schedules and more.

Wait! What’s that that is compelling my heart deep within my being?
A painting, beautiful, awesome, fantastic, it’s beyond what I am seeing!"
