" Just like the “Light of the World” came to push aside darkness and have you see, so also the light in the world influence us on a regular basis.

Artists and their execution of paintings have been influenced by that light since mankind picked up a brush or stick and started to depict something. Today, there is a great movement of outdoor painters. Their form of execution is called “Plein Air”. “En Plein Air” is a French expression for “in the open air” and has been aligned with painting in the out of doors since its inception. Why would anyone want to paint outside? Think about all the elements nature brings. That is precisely why artists have found this type of exercise so wonderful. The beauty, real color, real composition, real contrast, real balance along with several other influences and mostly that of natural moving light causes a unique involvement and often a full accomplished expression.

The digital age has tempered the experience, influencing the capture of light in its momentary expression but it has not replaced it. Light is always moving and light is always exerting its presence over darkness.

I hope you will discover for yourself the beauty and the intrigue “Light Influenced” paintings have to offer."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“As morning broke light started its journey of the day.
Moving slowly into place, pushing the darkness away
I looked around; I saw anew with added focus and clarity
I became more aware of the vastness and smallness of me
Paintings capture the expression of the artist creative mind
These paintings give me a fresh, truer picture of mankind!”

“I hope you’ll look at the light in a whole new way and it will push away any darkness. Remember to stay positive and have a great week!”

"I never realized the affect that negative thoughts had on a person. The fear, the apprehension, the anxiety, the changes in relationship, and the breakdown of values are contributing heavily to health issues. The need of conforming to those around you who find themselves within groups who are negatively dealing with the stresses and strains of human existence in today’s society is like a virus. Crowded places, rising costs, undisciplined unsatisfied children, healthcare woes and much more, all making the culture pay prices far beyond reason, let alone the checkbook.

Yet in the midst of this onslaught are many thousands of artists who are engaging in creative expressions never before thought possible. Many of these artists are creating works that speak volumes of positive messages to the hearts and souls of society. Many create natural hideaways and relaxing oasis in the midst of the heavy noise of the day.

Paintings are unique in their relationship and standing within their positioned environment. They are meant to be placed at eyes view, on viewing walls, enhanced by artful embellishing frames. They are created to be looked at often, daily or hourly. They are to be cared for and they are to nurture you. They get better each and every day. They help you cope, remind you of places, give you memories of people and offer positives that combat negativism and its effects on your health.

Find great paintings or may they find you! If you do you’ll find they are priceless."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“The stress, the strain, the constant negative wave,
Everyone saying it’s today; it’s what we have paved
No way, life has hope; not the mess dumped on you
Look around don’t allow the stress to burn on through
Find a great painting, one that reminds you of the good
Let the painting sink into your being the way it truly should!”

"“Feng Shui“is an ancient theme developed some 3,000 years ago based on the balance of wind and water and came to be associated with good health, good fortune and bad fortune. Many in our present culture have taken its basic color guide choices and incorporated them into their décor. While I do not believe in many of these manmade mandates and theories gone to hardcore beliefs, I do believe that color is an important element to health, well-being and being positive.

As I incorporated many of these elements into the above painting, having renamed it to stand without confusion to the Chinese theory, I wanted you to experience the movement, energy and power of an abstract painting with a depth and feel for balance. There is no wind or water, but there is movement and energy. There is the internal expression bursting forth in positive energy to tell you that no matter what, there is a solution to any dilemma, an answer to every problem, and true knowledge and wisdom totally at your disposal to do, to be, and to live.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7: 7, 8”

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Many people wander going from this to that.
Looking for love and life in a world that’s flat
Some desert vows, loves and promised tasks,
Thinking only of themselves and greener grass
Find color and beauty that great paintings so bring.
As a painting will lift your heart and make it sing!”

“Ask, seek and knock! Look in the right places for the right answers. Find the truth and though it may not be easy the struggle will make you stronger and appreciate who really is in control.”

BLOG BURST:
"Welcome to 2010! I truly hope this year unfolded its best for you. Did you get caught up in those New Year Resolutions? How many do you still have, after all this is the third day of the New Year?

I have a friend who has a pretty good filter to run things through before he goes off and it pretty much goes with the title. He asks himself three questions before he opens his mouth. First, is it true? Second, is it necessary? Third, is it kind? All of these together would help us in our daily life, our relationships and our communications.

I’d like to offer other suggestions not only as it applies to art paintings and as it applies to people you meet and what you communicate. If we would look more, see more and take our time going beyond that tertiary glance. It may change our opinion, create a different outlook and let us find and discovery something of true value and meaning to our very being. If we would apply this same principle to our listening we may find that we have more than ears to listen with and our lives may have the opportunity to be fuller and richer. If we would put others before ourselves in our outlook, conversations and approach to meeting people, we may find that people are friendlier toward us, enjoy our company more and respect us rather than seek to distance themselves from any involvement.

Great art paintings have the ability to engage us at all these levels and much more. You don’t have to feed them, take them to the doctor for health reasons, or provide entertainment for them. They will grant you a lifetime of enjoyment; reward you with continual, positive reinforcements; and continually capture your heart’s emotion, getting better with time."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“There are all kinds of treatments for those who are ill.
But for those who keep talking there is no quiet pill.
Stop and think who really cares about this or that
Take a glance at their faces you’re driving them bats.
Look and see, listen with your heart and hear it speak.
Great paintings grab your heart and make you weak!”

“Have a great week. Find an engaging painting and build a rewarding, priceless collection one captured emotion at a time!”
