" Days of summer come around with humid flashes of heat and bursts of sunlight that dance the day away. They build when morning breaks and creep or crawl till the Sun looks down over all around you. Then quickly, ever so quickly afternoon sets in and before you know it the sun is yawning and pulling its soft blanket of nighttime over itself leaving us with the ever present nightlight turned on until it wakes the next day.
During its reign we give thought to this or that and are pulled in every direction. One thought unfolds one answer and leads our mind to the next folder which is directly related to the question which caused us to try to uncover what we had stashed away in the file cabinet of our mind. One simple thought can unfold a panorama of endless treasures of experiences, relationships, travels, friends and family.
Engaging with a painting on those days of summer can tell us what we want to experience again, remind us of what has been away from our most precious thoughts, or lead us to a place of refreshment and renewal.
Early comes the day and early comes the night and with all that is in between beauty is all around us.
God willing, we’ll talk more about this in the future." POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Finding my way to ponder before the living sea
Takes me to so many places I really love to be
Breathing deep the air, taking in all the scents
Gifts me with the feeling, I’m truly happy I went
Seeing the color and watching waves come to be,
All giving me a glimpse of the coming eternity!”
“Open up to the beauty and power that paintings give to your life. May you find them and treasure them as they will give you more than you give them. Have a great week!”

"I became real conscious of our consuming, social, internet, active, no time society this week. On one occasion after waiting on a scheduled appointment and just starting our meet the person abruptly announced that they had to leave almost immediately because they were supposed to be somewhere else. Next came the interruptions of emails with no purpose but to be forwarded. This was followed by Emails with nothing to offer but getting me on their list. Then I had to read this email which did nothing more than tell me or anyone else reading it that there was nothing more important in life than them. These were followed by a series of unscheduled instructional emails telling me I had to do something and when I got there; there was so much traffic on their server I could not even complete the request it was so slow. The final session appeared when dinner was interrupted by a friend who just popped in at dinner time to sit down and talk about what she needed and what was happening in her life.
Today we have a propensity for everything being about us, even this Blog Burst has that flavor. But, my point is in the midst of all this one may want to consider a couple of profound sayings, “in order to have friends one must be friendly” and “love your neighbor as yourself”. While they sound good, I wonder how much time we ponder what they really mean.
Stress, self-absorbed living and no thought or even time to think and consider leads us further and further away from health, happiness, serving and giving to others, and living. That’s why I’m always reminding you of spending time with a great painting that moves your heart and soul. It will refresh you and remind you of what’s really important.
We’ll talk more of these things soon." POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“All the hustle, all the bustle and it’s not a holiday
Don’t consider the Reaper and what one may have to pay
Don’t think about what I’m doing or where or even when
I’m so overwhelmed I can’t see the tunnel let alone its end
Help me stop and consider all the things here and around
Let me see, feel, hear and understand the things profound!”
“Stop; spend time with a great painting that reminds your heart of hopes and dreams. Have a great week!”

"The weather is running amuck all over the country, but wasn’t it a great weekend to remember and honor those who serve and have served to keep our country fee.
I was as usual struck by the changes going on as they usually do this time of year. Winter and spring give way to summer which in so many ways we all look forward to. You know “those lazy, hazy crazy days of summer …”. The light is changing and the days are longer and the nights blacker with those white dots sparkling brighter in the sky. I was reminded of “to everything there is a season”.
The light at this special interim time has its own unique quality and calls out to be seen in a momentary glance before it disappears completely or moves on. The shadows and their affect on the surfaces they touch enhance those lights and the blend and uniqueness of the color warms heart and mind and soul.
No matter what’s going on in your life it’s a time of reflection, self examination and hopeful pondering as the magnificent canvas that we live in moves and changes around us.
We’ll talk more about these things soon." POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“I went out to discover and see the dance of the day
Not many words and not much for people to say
Just beautiful scenery sprawling forth covering the land
So many wonderful colors set before the eyes of man
How can I grasp what is before me on days of color and light
I surely don’t know but it takes me to new heights.”
“Find those alluring paintings that feed your very being, whether on canvas or in setting all around you. Have a wonderful week!”

“Ponder where you are and what you have on your plate
Seems like we never stop, you know we never wait
We don’t think about what’s around us; maybe out of view
Don’t have time to think; let alone stand and review
But what if we could be there for a moment in time
How much could we even take seeing the battle line
Would our ears fill with noise that would cause us pain
Would our fears be so great we’d almost be insane
How many gave so much so you and I could live free
To try to live our dreams and be who we want to be
Should we just stop and say thank you for one day
Look at the costs of it all and what they had to pay
So when you eat your barbecue with family and friends
Think about all who gave and don’t let their memory end.”
“Have a great weekend! We’ll see you next week, God willing.

"“Wikipedia”, the free encyclopedia of the internet, defines “Priceless” as something so valuable it can never be sold for any price, often used as hyperbole for something with extremely high value.”
Have you ever found yourself really just looking around you and stopping to consider how many priceless things you have acquired? Maybe you haven’t acquired them at all? Maybe they’re not all tangible. Maybe you missed out on some things that poured through your hand or things you just threw away. You know feelings and all.
People talk about the big three, health, relationships and money. Everybody has their perfect world, perfect home, perfect family, perfect children, perfect everything. When the truth Is life is a traveling road show, a roller coaster on wheels and often a turbulent storm. We think we’re in control. We’re not. We think we have it all. We don’t. We think it’s only going to get better, at least the positive people do and often it doesn’t.
With all life throws at you and no matter what, where or when, its nice to have priceless pieces of art work, art paintings, around us to help us cope, let us see and keep us mindful of the proper perspective.
We can throw it all away and think the grass is different even if not greener and tell ourselves we are happier, but are we and what is the collateral damage?
Great paintings give you hope, translate you to fond memories and act like stable giants in the midst of storms.
Hope you have a fine day and we’ll talk more about these things soon." POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“What did it cost for you to make that choice in life?
Was it a friends, home, family, husband or wife?
Did you gather all you needed to set your mind at ease?
When it’s all said and done will God be pleased?
Did you listen to others or sit, ponder and pray?
Did you forget who created it all and what He has to say?”
“Paintings give us hope, that living breathing stream that brings forth life. Find a “Priceless” one that will stand beside you and remind you of the truth. Have a great day!! Look forward to seeing you next week!”

"I had an experience this week in which a prominent person directed his audience to “Stop, Look, and Listen”. He expressed the fact that when they do this one should have some understanding of the meaning of the words together. He pointed out that “Stop” not only meant to come to a halt, but that it meant to get rid of everything that was disabling your ability to concentrate. Anything that was disrupting your pure focus was to be abandoned. He went on to say that looking was not just having your eyes fixed on one specific location or target area. It was an act that is meant to fill your eyes with the completeness of all things going on around you at that very moment, seen and unseen. Not only was one to look side to side and up and down but one was to use every part of his being to view mannerisms, gestures, background movements, comfort and discomfort as well as eye and facial reactions to the things that were said and not said. Not stopping there, he carefully pointed out that if one really listened that they could hear more than words, more than sounds and then silence.
In doing this a persona would be better equipped to make judgments, have a clearer understanding, and perceive beyond normal circumstances.
I of course couldn’t help but think how applicable this was to our whole society and how we should take a few precious moments and engage with beautiful paintings that capture the heart’s emotions. Not only would we live and feel better but we would live in a better place and in more harmony with our fellow human beings as well." POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Midst the hustle, bustle, rush, road, and ride
I stopped to think in whom I do confide
Who care about more than a living soul
Who stand and self proclaim about their toils
Where have we gone; where have we been
Down the road and back; and the time is when?”
“Paintings only talk when you are prepared to look and listen. Have a great week!”
