BLOG BURST:
"People often view a painting by taking a "look" at a work. That look may be described by some as, "that’s nice what’s next?" Too often it’s a, "let the people around me see how intellectual I am while I pose in front of this piece. " Many people don’t understand that in its base form it’s a series of dance-like steps that lead to initial enjoyment. If you love paintings, there’s an introduction; sort of like a let me look you over and see if there is an initial connection. You know, you looked intriguing from across the room and something went off in my head. You next slip and glide across to it feeling the view as much as possible. You get into a certain range; you kind of break down and wait for everything to catch up taking in all that it’s about. If you were to ask yourself at this point you’d know that the connection has already been made. A few more steps and you find yourself staring into the paintings eyes and of course the painting is staring back.

Did you know that all of this was orchestrated by the creator of the work? Most great paintings don’t just find themselves they are a direct extension of their artist initiator. The relationship and all that it displays comes vividly through to provide you with a lifetime of messages and positives that will enhance your life and never change its mind toward you."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
"True Artists translate themselves into the works of their hand.
Creating them from their soul, viewed by woman and by man,
Works that provide messages, memories and positives alike,
Designed works, skillfully completed, worked on day and night.
They produce paintings that are a visual relationship to view.
Some seen, some not, but some truly appreciated by a few."

"Hope your week brings you a visual relationship that will engage you for a lifetime!"

"Find my paintings, or may my paint-tings find you!"

  1. Very interesting blog, Doug. Artwork can, and usually is, an extension of the artist, and can reveal much into the personality and tastes of its creator. Thanks for the mention.

  2. Very interesting blog, Doug. Artwork can be, and usually is, an extension or the artist and a look into his personality and tastes. And that's the way it should be. And thanks for the highlight.
