BLOG BURST:
"What a world we live in and what a time to be alive. The changes going on around us are mind boggling. The greed, the self absorption, absentee non discipline parenting, cheapness of life, the backroom deals, the sleep around divorce makes it right world mentality, and wave upon wave of braking down of our foundational beliefs, nothing is sacred. That’s what they would like you to believe. Oh by the way, turn the music up and let’s watch some more stealing and killing on super 3D.

Even in our personal relationship, it’s now maybe I’ll be there and maybe not. Loyalty, vows, true friendship, got your back, it’s more who are you with this week and who are you again? Sure we have friends on the lazy-suzanne of life. It spins whoever comes around for me today is my best friend. All the while, the clock is ticking. If there is 24 hours in each and every day, how come it goes faster with every year that passes? It’s “I just don’t have time for that anyway.”

Once again, I’m here to say, think, stop, consider and re-evaluate what’s going on around you. You may have to change directions, move to some other course, and change the group you hang with or take a closer look at your belief system. Only you know, but you won’t if you don’t stop and reflect and ask for some insight from someone besides your self-serving relations.

Grab a chair, get yourself deeply engaged in a painting and reflect on all that’s going on with you. When you are done you may not recognize yourself."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Hello world, it’s me, what don’t you know who I am?
You can view everything I do on my own webcam
Don’t have the time, not about anyone besides myself
We only go round once you know; got to get the wealth
I know my heart is cold and I don’t really have a friend
But if not about me and mine, how do these stories end?”

“Having a great painting pays your way to positive mind travel. It’s a good week for inside and outside reflection. Stay well.”

Apr. 18th “The Eyes & The Ears”

BLOG BURST:
"Life is just full of surprises. You know the quote …”Surprise, Surprise”! You remember that almanac of dates that go off in your head “your first kiss’, “graduation”, “your first real job”, “marriage”, “birth”, ”births”, “death of a loved one”, “death of a parent”, and a myriad of all kinds of other things that you would love to remember or you’d love to forget. One thing is for sure, there have been surprises! There were surprises that were great and surprises that devastated you.

In each situation and in all your memories your eyes and your ears have seen and heard messages and some were true and some were not true. Time often tempers and changes those messages to I didn’t say that or that’s not what I said; or that’s not how I saw it.

So often we’re too busy and too influenced to even listen or see the reality of what’s really going on. In most cases we just pass off or excuse the reality in a state of non involvement until like the media, the next big story happens in life.

I hope you can take a serious look at the truth around you and the facts as they unfold. Spend some time with a great painting and let it act as a springboard to bring you to the reality that you otherwise might have missed."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Go here! Go there! Look at this; I just got to dash.
I don’t have time for a thought as I’m about to crash
There not a moment to look; can’t hear what you say
Sorry, but with my agenda it’s the price I have to pay
Look I must complete this, I’ve scheduled a date
What was that you said; my word, I’m too late!”

“Grab a beautiful painting and engage yourself because in this world time keeps ticking until you or someone who means something to you are no more.”

Apr.11th “Positives In Storms”

"StormBrewing”

BLOG BURST:
" There’s a quote saying something like, “into every life some rain must fall”. Well, even though there are thousands of quotes and they’re all in Chinese cookies, it doesn’t mean they’re true or even accurate. Life is not a bowl of cherries and even if it was someone’s biting into the pit which means pain, dental work, more pain, more dental work and on and on. You get the picture.

Speaking of picture or in this case painting, finding the right painting can improve whatever circumstance you’re in. You know that there are negative people and positive people. Ever notice how negative people find a way to weasel out on things, constantly bring an attitude and manifestation of negative ongoing commentaries, are sick more and live in a state of fear and depression. The right painting can even help them. Getting out of yourself, not being so self absorbed, and looking for and asking for the truth, can bring you a long way to redefining the positives and being thankful.

In the featured “StormBrewing” Paintings, you can focus on all the negative stuff that’s going on in your life or you can look at the roll and the movement of the ocean. You can rest in the power and the energy. You can focus that it’s something that is temporary and the sunshine will glisten once again with newness of life. There are a lot of choices in one’s life, some good and some bad, some you regret for a lifetime and some you’ll be thankful for.

Be thankful, be positive and find a great painting that captures your heart’s emotions!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Who chose for you the things that were to be?
You or your family that made you what others see?
Have you seen with eyes of pain, faced peril and regret?
Have you forsaken your words and a new course set?
May you find the truth beyond embedded control;
Go back, stand up, be positive, and be ever so bold!”

“Have a great week; spend time with great paintings; and choose life. You are not your own.”

Apr. 4th “No Chocolates, Eggs, or Bunnies”

"HaveLife”
Size: 18" X 28" Giclee' on Canvas Hand Embellished by Artist; Certified & Limited From "The Abstract Collection". - Click HERE - Find the ENLARGED paintings with details, pricing, shipping and more as well as my comments on the paintings.

BLOG BURST:
"Got an email on Friday morning telling me that this was the first day of the Easter Holiday in the UK; and it was actually called Good Friday. Although a religious holiday many from all religions take it off to spend with family to give gifts of chocolates and decorate eggs. He was getting this all out of the way early so he could spend it providing all his customers with tools, techniques and strategies to ensure he delivered on his promises.

While all that sounds so nice a quote comes to mind; “there are none so blind as those who cannot see”.

This is one of the most important events in history. No other sacrifice could be offered on behalf of mankind who had willfully disobeyed Him, The God of Heaven & Earth, and set in motion eternal separation. The only way that The Only, Perfect, Holy, Just God could be satisfied was to sacrifice Himself in human form on the cross. Then He rose alive; defeating death and the sentence given, on the third day.

Once again providing humanity with a choice “Life” or “Death”? He is Risen! Choose Life!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“I thought I was OK going along in my own way.
Never realizing the path I’d been on each day.
Then I heard the good news of God’s sacrificial lamb
It went direct to my heart and who I really am.
So the decision was made to believe in Christ
Now my Lord, my Savior and forever my Life!”

“Let the painting take your heart and lead you to the path of change. Have a great weekend as you remember what it is all about.”

Mar. 28th “…and Miles to Go!”

"MilesToGo”
Size: 16" X 24" Giclee' on Canvas Hand Embellished by Artist; Certified & Limited From "The Abstract Collection". - Click HERE - Find the ENLARGED paintings with details, pricing, shipping and more as well as my comments on the paintings.

BLOG BURST:
" I finished a painting recently and the title has stuck with me. I couldn’t help but think of the band of birds flying in all their precision going somewhere. That title reminds me of Robert Frost and the title of his famous poem, “Miles to go before I sleep”.

We’re all going somewhere. We’re always moving in one way or another. Our minds, our actions, our deeds, always have travel involved. We love to be here rather than there or we love to be there rather than here. No matter what you think, what you are working on or wherever you find yourself, there’s always miles to go.

As you already know it’s one of the great reasons I love paintings and I love to paint. Not only do I get to travel; but I also get to stay here. Great thoughts, ideas, messages and the communication of paintings are part of the painting author’s story as it unfolds right before your eyes.

Refresh yourself and sit, stand and don’t travel for a few precious minutes, look deep and engage a painting that engages you. You’ll definitely travel and where you travel will be one of your best trips in a while. Best thing is you can continue on your journey next time you face off with that painting again."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Here and there, requirements each and every day
Trying to schedule all of it and not lose your way.
What’s the priority; what has to be absolutely done?
So much going on, you forgot to schedule some fun
But wait, if you would but stop and take some time,
Engage with a painting and rest your weary mind!”

“Have wonderful week, take some time for yourself and be thankful no matter what circumstance or situation you find yourself in. There is always someone who is not as fortunate as you.”

Mar. 21st Connections Are Important!

"Connection”
Size: 18" X 28" Giclee' on Canvas Hand Embellished by Artist; Certified & Limited From "The Abstract Collection". - Click HERE - Find the ENLARGED paintings with details, pricing, shipping and more as well as my comments on the paintings.

BLOG BURST:
" In a week filled with rats, bats and videos as well as twitter, tv and the web, it makes you stop and want to take a breath. Seems like we all have schedules and impossible check lists. With all of that “Connections” are at the heart of the human experience. It’s a series of who you are connected with, who you were connected with and who you’re going to be connected with.

My Dad used to say connections are the most important things and being connected to God is your most important connection. In doing the painting above, I thought a lot about connections and that paint only offers an example of one of the ways we get connected. Think about it. Someone can introduce you. You meet someone when you expected to meet someone else. You start to follow someone on the social media circuit. You watch and introduce yourself to someone who: created a video, wrote an article, has a product or service to sell, offers you something you need and on and on.

To me, as you’ve heard me before, paintings are a great way to connect to a vast reservoir of memories. They are just waiting to be unlocked and brought back to life to give you a world of positives.

With all the connections from our past history and in light of what we as a country and people seem to be all about, we could use some of our old connections, and also our old ways of doing things.

I hope you get some time, or take some time and let a great painting kindle positive memories in your head."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“As I sat here gazing into the scene before my eyes
I determine how far I have fallen from being wise
I thought of people, places, friends and family
And above all I’m thankful for all God’s given me.
I trust and hope you might just take some time.
Let the messages of a great painting fill your mind.”

“Be thankful, be careful and ponder all those relationships that have contributed to your life. Make a new connection as well and have a great week!

Also look for the next video in the “Paintings that Capture the Hearts Emotions” series coming out this week!”

Mar. 14th Things You See; Things you Don’t; Time to Ponder!

"PureGold”
Size: 18" X 24" Giclee' on Canvas Hand Embellished by Artist; Certified & Limited From "The Beautiful Cape Collection". - Click HERE - Find the ENLARGED paintings with details, pricing, shipping and more as well as my comments on the paintings.

BLOG BURST:
"Often we’re so caught up by our lives and our schedules, we can’t even take a breath. We have our glasses on and we’re pushing ahead full speed and we think we’re taking it all in. Yesterday I got an email from a friend asking me to pass on an extremely dangerous situation in a foreign country where 20 churches were burnt and 200 more were scheduled for the following night along with the goal of executing 200 people serving them. There is stuff going on in our own life and the world around us. There’s a lot we just don’t see or don’t want to see.

Sometimes, I say often, it’s good to stop and look deep into a painting. Let your mind travel to your foundational beliefs. You may not feel that you can help the world around you, or you may if you have a right relationship and can pray. Ask yourself, why are you so fortunate or maybe why aren’t you? Is it the choices you’ve made, things you’ve done, or the promises you’ve not kept? If you have the right relationship you can find those answers as well.

Spend some time with a great painting. Ponder what its saying! Then think about the true Creator of the Universe. Call out to Him. You may be surprised at the availability of insights and answers."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“The world is traveling to its destination at a rapid pace.
Too often the world has given us it own bitter taste
Driven by powers who blind men’s eyes and ears
Leaving us with hopelessness and ever present fears
But take heart in perfect love there is no fear at all
So find out who is love, reach out and answer His call.”

“Ponder what you look at and what you don’t. Ask yourself what you are looking for and remember feelings or the lack of them won’t lead you to truth. Have a great week!”

Feb. 28th “Who Da Thunk It – Libraries?”

BLOG BURST:
"I watched a show on changes that are going on in libraries all across Massachusetts. There are some fantastic, fascinating, and amazing transformations happening in the world of reading and books, part which is from “Amazon’s Kindle” to “Apple’s IPad”.

To me a spokes person who stood outside the Boston Public Library and read the carved marble words “Free To All” was most interesting. She went inside and said “Look around! You can see we have a great country, culture, music, art; what a great place to be, what a great place to come to.”

You know, as our world follows after information through the advances of technology, I hope we will not get blinded by being so absorbed with ourselves. I hope we will see what a great country we have and how we need to continually stand on our history and what we were founded on, and foster our culture, music, art, the positive adventurous spirit that has made us great and our thankfulness for the undeserved blessing of our Creator."

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“A place for books, a place to gather and more
A world of information has opened new doors
Take a look, take a peak, enter in and see
Open up to the new world and what has come to be
Participate; add culture, music, art to your life today
You are sure to see things in a whole new way!”

“Go to your library! Stand with them as they help make changes that will only benefit you and others around you. Vote funding for them, now. And as always, have a great week!”

BLOG BURST:
"Paintings can be closely aligned with relationships. Prior to the advent of photography paintings were forms of record keeping. Paintings were often used to identify position, possessions and portraits. You would think that their importance would have fallen with this new ability to replicate likeness and exactness on a visual surface. Quite the contrary, paintings have moved in all kinds of directions, formats, styles, applications, categories and more.

The relationship principle is still the same. You can like it. You can hate it. You can be engaged it. You lose your taste for it. You can vow to love it as long as you live or you can throw it away because you’ve lost your feeling for it.

The truth is, possessing a great painting that engages you is very much like any good relationship. You’ve got to endeavor to work at it, spend time with it and nurture your love for it. If you do it will possess you, please you, bring you joy, refresh you and make your life better.

In any case, putting your efforts toward building, continuing and working at a relationship is far more positive, healthy and worth it than not. May you find a great painting or may a great painting find you!!"

POETIC PONTIFICATION:
“Build that emotional bond that cannot be broken
Take the time to search and ask, seek out the emotion
Open your heart and mind to help each other’s needs
Spend time together ponder where the memories lead
Gaze at the beauty and the affect its had on your soul
Stay positive and let the beautiful story totally unfold.”

“I hope you have a great painting or acquire one and take the time to look at all your relationships. Remember to invest in them and be positive. Have a great week!”
