"Here we are again another week has gone. Where did it go? What have I done? What contributions have I made? Is it all chasing after the wind? The god of this age has put so much on our plates that life’s priorities, foundations and values have nothing but new meanings. “Stop and smell the Roses!” We’ve all heard that, but have we done it? Time is not on our side and the vows of yesterday give way to new feelings or life changes. Paintings confront us every day. Even when they seem to blend as part of the wall, they will jump out and grab us. They cause us to think, to ponder, to recall and to remember. Paintings let us know that there is more than “today’s to do list”."

"Roses are red and sometimes other colors too.
They remind us in many ways of those we knew.
Even with messages that someone wanted to give,
They are not like great paintings that forever live.
Paintings constantly remind you in positive ways.
